Isn’t it interesting that the father of medicine knew this and somehow many of us have totally been disconnected from that which bestows the body/mind/spirit with everything it needs to thrive? Let’s RECONNECT & EN-LIVEN!!!
Living, raw foods make my heart sing!!!…. I feel incredibly nurtured and blissful tasting the simplicity of an orange or a grapefruit. I get that tingly taste on my tongue which is “electrical” because that is the nature of citrus fruit, either organic or heirloom. I don’t get that same feeling when I eat conventional fruits and veggies. They taste like chemicals, or very bland in comparison to me. Raw Rules!!
Onto today’s salad………
1 organic braeburn apple- cut in chunks
1 organic hass avocado- cut in chunks
1/2 cup fresh cilantro- chopped
1/4 red onion- diced
1 tsp black sesame seeds
1 tsp white sesame seeds
1 tsp golden flax seeds
1 tsp tulsi leaves (dried and ground in mortar/pestle)
himalayan pink salt or celtic sea salt to taste
black pepper to taste
feta cheese to garnish (you can substitute raw cheese to keep it all raw or omit to make it vegan)
Toss, & enjoy on a bed of leafy greens, or AS IS. If you want a little dressing here’s a super easy home-ade one.
HONEY CITRUS DRESSING
3 TBSP fresh squeezed orange juice
1/2 tsp raw honey or agave nectar
salt & pepper to taste
